Kwok Lo B.A., AOCA - Instructor-in-Charge
Kwok Lo, water colour artist and instructor, founder of Lo's arts Gallery, used to paint in bright colour with strong strokes. His unique style evolved from the high key colours of the late watercolour master, May-tin Kan while he worked at Parkway Studio in Hong Kong and the direct painting from Kok-tan Chin during his studies at the Onatrio College of Arts ( the former OCAD ).
Kwok Lo has been teaching classical drawing and painting for years. He was the art instructor of The Chinese College of Canada from 2000 to 2006 and the instructor-in-charge of Thomas Arts Gallery between 2005 and 2006. His ways of teaching are well appreciated by the students and parents. Throughout the years, he had assisted all the portfolio students successfully entered their selected art or design programs of OCAD, U of T, York University, Sheridan College, Ryerson University, Univeristy of Guelph and Carlton University.
Mabel Lo B.Sc. - Administrator and Instructor
Mabel Lo, former high school teacher and floral artist, has all the experience and patience to teach students, in particular, children to appreciate art and to draw. She is also the art and craft instructor of summer programs teaching children to make artistic crafts with recycling materials
Kelvin Lo B.A. - Illustration Instructor
Kelvin Lo is a graduate of the Illustration of Sequential arts program at Max the Mutt animation career college. As a top student in the program, he has a strong understanding of principles of drawing, as well as layout and composition for appealing comic book/graphic novel pages.
Currently as a freelance illustrator, he specializes in pencilling for graphic novels and comic books. He continues to do art work in a variety of mediums including pen and ink, and digital formats. Kelvin's artwork is described to be a mesh between the traditional and the new. student's learning at Lo's Art gallery can expect to grow into a versatile artist with a strong understanding of fundamental skills required to become an accomplished artist.
